01 / Overview

Keeping the original game active.

W3Dota is an online community built around DotA, the original Defense of the Ancients custom map for Warcraft III.

The community centers on Discord and W3Dota.com, where players organize games, compete on ranked ladders, and take part in tournaments. My work supports the operations around that activity.

02 / My role

Operations behind the community.

  1. 01

    Administration

Managing community rules, resolving disputes, and helping maintain a constructive environment.

  2. 02

    Moderation

Overseeing community channels, handling player reports, and applying guidelines consistently.

  3. 03

    Event organization

Coordinating registration, brackets, scheduling, match oversight, results, and prize distribution.

03 / The platform

One community across games, rankings, and events.

W3Dota.com provides the project’s public web presence while Discord supports day-to-day community coordination. Together they connect regular games, ranked competition, moderation, and tournament activity.

04 / Community & tournaments

Documented event work.

  1. W3Dota 2v2 Mid Cup

Coordinated brackets, scheduling, and prize distribution for a 2v2 mid-lane tournament with a €150 prize pool.

  2. Season 1 Tournament

Led the community’s first major tournament of 2026, including bracket management for a $200 prize pool event.

  3. Starstruck Tournament

Handled registration, match oversight, and results reporting for a community-wide competitive event.

  4. PIZZABLAST

Organized a lower-stakes community event designed to bring players together around a focused competition.

05 / Operational systems

The work between announcement and result.

The contribution is less about a single interface and more about making each event understandable, fair, and deliverable from start to finish.

Before play
Registration, bracket preparation, scheduling, and participant communication.
During play
Match oversight, moderation, dispute handling, and schedule coordination.
After play
Results reporting, event follow-through, and prize distribution where applicable.

06 / Result

Repeatable event delivery.

Across four documented events, the work covered the complete operational path—from registration and scheduling to live oversight and published results—while continuing the administration and moderation needed between tournaments.
